Information we use
We may process contact details you give us by telephone or email; website analytics data if you consent; and account details, IP addresses and user agents relating to authorised users of the website editor.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- To respond to enquiries and bookings: steps before a contract or our legitimate interests in operating the pub.
- Optional website analytics: your consent.
- Security, abuse prevention and administrative records: our legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and accountable.
- Where the law requires processing: legal obligation.
Analytics and browser storage
Only after consent, our first-party analytics estimates the number of distinct visitors using a pseudonymised identifier. No visitor profiles or browsing breakdowns are retained, and raw IP addresses are not stored in the analytics table. Visitor-counting records are retained for up to 13 months. Necessary local storage retains your preferences for up to six months.
Other services
OpenStreetMap loads only with your consent; the OpenStreetMap Foundation and its delivery providers may process technical data such as your IP address. Facebook and Messenger from Meta, and Google Maps for directions, open only when you choose an external link. Their own privacy terms apply after you leave this website.
Sharing and retention
Information may be processed by our contracted website hosting, email, backup and website-support providers. External services may process data outside the UK under their own international-transfer arrangements. Login-attempt records are retained for 90 days and administrative audit records for 12 months.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You can withdraw consent through “Cookie preferences”. Contact us using the details above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We will update this notice when our processing or providers change.
